+Nein, stopp, Planänderung. Aber beginnen wir vorn. Trotz stattfindendem Kinzigtal-Triathlon finden unsere per Auto anreisenden Teilnehmer problemlos einen Parkplatz. Das ist sehr schön. Auch dass Andreas mal wieder die Gruppe bereichert, freut uns alle. Gespannt sind wir auf Geralds Tour-Ausarbeitung für diesen Tag. Der Arbeitstitel 'Trails, Trails, Trails', mit dem er uns nach Gelnhausen lockte, wurde kurzerhand umdisponiert. Wegen des zu schwer passierbaren Flussbettes und so. Umso gespannter sind wir, wo's denn dann wohl langgehen wird. Optimal für das schöne Wetter fahren wir dann schon bald abwechslungsreich über viele kleine Waldwege und auch mal schnelle Forstwege durch das allzu zarte Grün des noch jungen Buchenblattwerks. "Diesen Weg kenne ich noch gar nicht" und "Ach, hier sind wir" höre ich mich öfters mal sagen, dann wieder erleichtert, dass mich mein Orientierungssinn nun doch nicht ganz verlassen hat. Von Lützel im Biebertal schraubt sich die Tour langsam hoch zum Hufeisen, kreuzen noch mal die Route der Triathleten an einer Verpflegungsstation, nein, nicht für uns, und dann immer weiter nach oben, bis wir am Franzosenkopf einen ersten Gipfelpunkt erreichen. Statt Ausblick, der uns durch die Bewaldung hier verwehrt bleibt, blicken wir in unsere Verpflegungsdosen und schauen, was uns Mutti für heute denn so Leckeres eingepackt hat. Doch dann weiter, es wartet noch mehr auf uns: Berauschende Talfahrt und dann am Waldrand lang, rund um Huckelheim, den Arzborn nicht rauf, sondern runter, "welch ein Glück", denkt der eine oder andere still für sich. Dann, entlang des Dr.-Heinrich-Degen-Wegs, von dem wir nicht wussten, dass dieser Herr in den 1950-er und 60-er Jahren Landrat des Landkreises Alzenau und auch noch Vorsitzender des Spessartbundes war, was uns sicherlich hätte zustimmen lassen, dass dieser Mann nur allzu Recht mit einem eigens nach ihm benannten Wanderweg beehrt worden ist, welcher, um die Bedeutung seiner Person noch weiter hervorzuheben, die er hier in dieser heimeligen Landschaft des Spessarts zu Lebzeiten gehabt haben muss, nicht weniger als von der Stadt Kahl, also der Ort, wo die Kahl in den Main mündet, mehr oder weniger entlang der Kahl und sogar an den besagten beiden Quellen vorbei bis hoch hinaus zum Dr.-Kien-Platz, welcher noch auf uns wartet, verläuft, fahren wir nun also weg von der Straße, wieder in die Stille des bayrischen Spessarts, bis zum 'Dach' der heutigen Tour, als wir dort für eine kurze Wegstrecke auf den Eselsweg stoßen. Hier werden uns zwei Dinge klar, die den weiteren Verlauf der Tour beeinflussen werden. Einerseits, dass uns Andreas 'lebt wohl' sagen muss, um seine Oma nicht zu enttäuschen, die doch am heutigen Tag, ihren 80. Geburtstag feiert, wenn mich meine Erinnerung nicht täuscht. Also dann weiter, nun im Tal, bis nach Roßbach, wo uns die Hoffnung auf das Gartencafé enttäuscht, aber nicht entmutigt vor verschlossener Tür stehen lässt. Also weiter nach Biebergemünd-Kassel, wo uns endlich die _Knusperbohne_ empfängt und jeder für sich etwas findet und anschließend den Kuchen lobend genießt. Zum Abschluss rollen wir zurück nach Gelnhausen, wo der Triathlon nun auch beendet ist, sodass wir unsere per Auto angereisten Gäste mit gutem Gewissen auf die Heimfahrt entlassen können.
