Dem ausbleibendem Frühling trotzend fand der Saisonauftakt traditioneller in Darmstadt statt.

 Als Newbie durften wir Reinald begrüssen, der sich in Topform präsentierte und mit dem saubersten Rad glänzte. Die ursprünglich geplante Strecke musste mehrfach ad hoc angepasst werden, u.a. wegen Strassensperrung bzw. fehlendem Asphalt. Um uns keine Blöße zu geben, wurde Schwiegermutters Tipp dagengen knallhart durchgefahren - trotz fehlendem Asphalt hinter der 'Freiheit'. Zum Aufwärmen wurde in den Stopps heißer Tee und Gummibärchen gereicht.
